(Dong Ha Lee) Korea KMLA August 8th 2013 Dear PA's and TA's I am writing this letter because I believe you should treat girls and boys equally. Many students like Yeon Seok, for example agree with me. I will explain many reasons for this and give facts to support my opinion. The first reason is because we are some students and paid the same amount of money. There are statistics to show this is true. According to my roommates everyone thinks it is unfair. Last time me and Yeon Seok didn't wear slippers and got a yellow card but the girls got caught by the same teacher but the girls got a chance and they didn't get a yellow card. The second reason is because it is unfair for boys and girls get different advantage. The girls get more advantage by getting less yellow cards. There are facts to show this is true. It has been shown by my classmates that 80%of them agree. The final reason is because boys have much more percentage to get a yellow card. It is known by the facts I showed you before that you are giving girls chances we boys don't get. As you cans see, treating girls and boys equally is important. Based on my arguments, I hope you will consider my point of view and stop giving girls more chances which boys don't get and treat us the same Sincerely, Dong Ha Lee.
Hello today I will tell you about a story I have made in a few days, And plus, it is quite short.
The title of this story is 'Spy Kids' I chose this title because I like spy stuff and especially when they are only kids who go to school. Okay so the genre of this book is action. The characters of this book are Bryce, Andrew, Brand, scientists, and Dr. Smith. The setting are Dr.Smith's secret lab, Spy's secret base, and Wellington Middle School. First Bryce was a normal student. But he was curious of why Andrew (his friend) went somewhere outside during class and the funny thing is the teacher lets him get out and didn't tell him anything or punish him. So Bryce thought of spying on him. It was pretty fun. And finally he saw Andrew going inside the locker and thought it was curious and also he didn't come out. So he went inside the locker. Suddenly when he went inside the locker he felt like going down in an elevator but much faster. Then finally it stopped and when he opened the locker he saw scientists and he saw his friend Andrew. Then suddenly there was an alarm and they said they said that someone broke into the lab. In a few seconds the scientists surrounded me and they said "Who are you?" Then Bryce ran as fast as he could to a door which said do not enter. When he entered he entered he closed the door right away and locked it also he put heavy materials to the door. When he looked around the room he saw a robot. The robot told him to sit down on the bed. So he did as he was told. And suddenly it scanned him and did something to his braces it hurt him allot and a few hours later when he woke up He was surrounded with scientists plus his friend Andrew and a man who looked familiar to me. He found out that it was our teacher Mr. Brand. They were talking about erasing my memory. But Mr. Brand said "No, he will be one of our spy from now on. Then everything became quite. After all this situation me and Andrew went outside. Andrew said "Okay now you listen to me. I will teach you how to use your braces." And a few weeks later he got 100% control on them. Finally Mr. Brand told us that there is a case and we needed to go right now. So we went to where there was a Jet. I was quite scared. And we went off to Russia. Mr. Brand told us that Dr. Smith made a new experiment and he is going to use it and kill a lot of people and that we needed to stop him. When we arrived there were a lot of guards. A few minutes later we arrived in to Dr. Smiths lab. But he was trying to press the button then the bomb would explode. He said "If you move I will press this button". We stood still until the guards locked us up. A few seconds I loosened my hand and Andrew said "Go quick before he bombs Russia away. And I ran to Dr. Smiths lab.
Hello, this time I will tell you about a movie. Last week we watched a movie called 'The princes's Bride'. The genre of this movie was a fantasy and some action. There were lots of characters in this movie and they were Westley, Buttercup, Indigo, Prince Humperdinck, Fezzick, Vizzini, and Miracle Max. The movie was made in 1987 and the director was Rob Reiner. The setting was Cliff f insanity, Fire swamp, lightning sand, forest of thieves, pit of despair and ROUS- Rodents Of Unusual Size.
First Buttercup and Westley fall in love. But suddenly Westley needed to leave and five years later Buttercup thought Westley had died and she was going to marry Prince Humperdinck and In the middle she gets kidnapped by three people and then a man with black and white saves her from getting killed. She finds out that the man with black and white is Westley. When they go in the Fire swamp Westley saves buttercup several times. The man with six fingers kidnaps Westley and takes tears of his life with a machine he made. Then before she marries the prince she finds out that he captured Westley and she becomes mad at the prince. then the prince gets mad and takes fifty years of his life with the machine. He mostly dies and when Indigo and the giant (Fezzik) find out about the six fingered man and he was the one he wanted to revenge he needed help from Westley but he was dead so Indigo and Fezzik carries him and takes him to Miracle Max. He saves Westley and they went to stop the wedding. At the end Indigo does his revenge by killing the six fingered man who killed his father. Westley and buttercup live happily.
In my opinion I think the movie is very good and funny. I would like to change some of the action parts because it's not quite realistic like the part when Indigo and Westley fight they become friends in a few minutes and they become friends again. So in conclusion I like this movie because there is fantasy and action. And those are my favorite kinds of movies In this movie you can learn that you need to keep your promise and not killing enemies because it becomes a bad hobbit. The qualities of leadership I can learn from this movie is that there were three people and the first guy was the smart one, the second one was the stupid but he was good at sword fighting. And the last one was the stupid guy but he was a giant and he was strong. Unfortunately the smart one died the quicker than the other two (But the other two didn't die). And I think the smart one would of have been a good leader. Because he is smart and he would do stuff other people couldn't even think about.
Today our class have watched a cool video on TED. The presenter was matts cutts. He has started a project called 'the 30 day challenge'. Because he was "Stuck in a rut", he started this project. After watching the video it was our turn to set 3 goals to accomplish 30day challenge in GLPS. Now let me introduce my 3 goals to you. My first goal is to not speak korean or anyother languages. What I would do is to warn myself on the morning. Which I will write on a peice of paper and stick it on the door to not forget it. Tell my friends to warn me by telling me not to speak korean. Then I will think about EOP because I need to memorize a paragraph which is very annoying and hard. My second goal is no fighting with my room mates and other students. I will do it by being much more friendlier to my friends, somthing similar to best friends. I will be nicer to my friens such as no calling names. I will not swear at them on their back or do anything bad to them. My final goal is to finish all the food on my dish. I'm going to do that by taking little bit of food every time. I will think about diet because I think I am too fat. Finally thinking before taking food such as checkning how much I can eat is important. Because if I leave any food I get in trouble I would like to achieve these goals by trying everything. Then I could become a new person or I could get a new hobby
Hello my name is Dong Ha Lee nice to meet you. I will tell you about 3 facts about myself which are Dubai, Brother, Monkey. What do you think it is? okay let me tell you what they are. 1st it is Dubai. Dubai means that I am currently living in Dubai. Do you know why I am living in Dubai? It is because of my fathers job.
2nd is brother. Brother means that I have 1 bigger brother. I wish I had a smaller sister or a smaller brother because if I get bored when I am alone and if I have a smaller brother I will have a smaller brother I can talk to.
3rd is monkey. monkey means that monkey is my favorite animal. Do you know why I like them?
Its because monkeys are cute they are kind and also because monkeys are the animals which understand humans the most. And I will have a pet I can brag to my friends.
